General Scholarship Application
In order to be considered for any of the local scholarships distributed through Fair Lawn High School, students must submit the General Scholarship Application, available only through the Class of 2026 Google Classroom. The application is a PDF and will be submitted via the Google Form provided.

Application | Transcript | Resume Release Consent
Parents/guardians must provide release consent for any personal documents to be reviewed by the FLHS Scholarship Committee and the selection committees of scholarship donors. This consent is available through the Parent Portal in Genesis.
All material must be submitted by 3:00 PM on Friday, February 13, 2026 to be considered.

Senior Scholarship Awards Program

During this special event, all local scholarships will be presented to graduating seniors. Award recipients are notified in advance and invited to attend, where they will be honored among their peers, teachers, counselors, Board of Education members, district administrators, and our generous donors. This memorable ceremony celebrates students' achievements and recognizes the support of those who make these scholarships possible.

NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome Scholarship - due March 13, 2026
The NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome & Associated Disorders, Inc. (NJCTS) is proud to announce the 2026 scholarship awards to graduating New Jersey high school seniors diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome or other tic disorder.
Established in 2004, the NJCTS Youth Scholarship Program has awarded more than 350 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in every corner of New Jersey.
Eligible applicants must be:
Diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome or other tic disorder from a qualified medical practitioner.
A resident of the State of New Jersey.
A high school senior in a public, private, or home school.
Planning to attend a college or trade school on a part-time or full-time basis in Fall 2026.

UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship - due March 15, 2026
UCB will award 30 scholarships of up to $5,000 and 3 scholarships of up to $10,000 to people living with epilepsy, their family members, and caregivers pursuing higher education.
Thirty applicants who demonstrate academic and personal achievement will receive scholarships of up to $5,000 each. Two applicants will receive Epilepsy Leader Scholarships of up to $10,000 each honoring the late Sandra Helmers, MD, MPH, and the late John M. Pellock, MD, two prominent figures in the epilepsy community who passed away in 2016. Additionally, UCB will award one applicant the Joe D’Souza Memorial Scholarship of up to $10,000. This scholarship was created in 2019 in memory of UCB’s global medical director.
The recipients of the Epilepsy Leader Scholarships and the Joe D'Souza Memorial Scholarship will demonstrate academic and personal achievement and will also exemplify some of the qualities that Drs. Helmers and Pellock were best known for, including a desire to advocate for and serve others, an interest in positively contributing to the epilepsy community, and a persevering spirit.
NJAEL Scholarship - due March 18, 2026
The New Jersey Association of Educational Leaders (NJAEL) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for a student leadership scholarship opportunity designed to recognize and support students who demonstrate leadership, service, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their schools and communities. This year there will be 8 winners. Each will be worth approximately $4,000 ($2500 cash, a new laptop, and first semester school materials paid.)
NJAEL’s mission is to cultivate and support leadership at all levels of education. Through this scholarship, NJAEL seeks to invest directly in students who exemplify the values of leadership, initiative, and civic engagement, and who plan to continue their education beyond high school.

REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be graduating seniors from a high school in Bergen County, NJ, or Rockland
County, NY
Applicants must be majoring in art at an accredited college or university in the fall of 2026.
Due to the early date of the CAA member show this year and the possibility that candidates may
not have received their college acceptance letters, the CAA asks applicants for a list of art
institutions to which they have applied.
Professional Women in Construction Scholarship - due March 20, 2026
The NJ Chapter of Professional Women in Construction is pleased to offer a scholarship program to support the next generation of students pursuing degrees in architecture, engineering and construction-related industries.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must be a female student enrolled to earn a degree or certificate in an architecture, engineering, or construction-related field.
Applicant must fall under one of the following categories:
A high school senior.
A full-time college freshman, sophomore, or junior.
College applicants must have completed at least one full semester at their accredited institution.
Graduate students are not eligible.
A full-time trade/technical school student.
Applicants must be a New Jersey resident OR a relative of an active PWC NJ member.
NJ Emergency Manager's Memorial Scholarship Program - due March 23, 2026 @ 3:00pm
$1,000 scholarships are awarded annually.
Scholarship Eligibility:
The applicant, applicant’s parent(s) or grandparent(s) must be members in good standing in any emergency service department in the State of New Jersey. Emergency services agencies include any police, fire, rescue, EMS, or emergency management. Any other affiliations with an agency that performs emergency or disaster response, and recovery operations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
A high school senior, planning to attend college, or current college student presently enrolled in a college or university with at least one full year remaining and a U.S. citizen.
Willing to pursue a career path in the emergency services field such as emergency management, homeland security, fire suppression, law enforcement, hazardous material, arson investigation, Emergency Medical Services, Health, Public Health, Social Services, etc.
Scholarship recipients are required to be present at the time of presentation, which will occur at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, NJ on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m. If the recipient is unable to attend, a letter telling us that the recipient has other commitments that cannot be changed.
Past NJEPA Scholarship recipients are NOT eligible to receive another scholarship.

George F. Axt Nurses Scholarship - due March 31, 2026
The George F. Axt Memorial Fund will award five $3,000 nursing scholarships to students entering accredited nursing programs or who are already enrolled in an undergraduate nursing curriculum. This award amount is for 2026 only. Amounts of future awards will depend upon the funds raised at that time.
CRITERIA & RULES
Applicants must be residents of Bergen County, and either a senior in high school who has committed to
an accredited nursing school, a high school graduate who has committed to an accredited nursing school, or a student currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate nursing program.
A certified copy of the applicant’s transcript must be included.
Applicants are not required to be members of a veteran’s family, The American Legion or The American Legion Auxiliary.
If an applicant is successful, he or she shall receive this scholarship only once.
The application MUST be signed by the applicant. An electronic signature (aka “e-signature”) is unacceptable, and such applications will be disqualified.
Letters of recommendation are not required and will not be considered in the evaluation process.
USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLICENGE (AI) PROHIBITED: The use of AI to generate, draft, or
significantly alter any portion of your application essays is strictly forbidden. This includes using AI for
idea generation, drafting, or polishing text. Your submission must be entirely your own original work.
Any application found to contain AI-generated content will be disqualified.
Applicants who choose to email their final documents must do so in PDF format, preferably in one
attachment.
Cirkled In "No Sweat" Scholarship - due March 31, 2026
Award Amount: $2,500
Eligibility: Any student in Grades 9–12
No GPA requirement
No income restrictions
No essay required
American Legion Nursing Grant - due April 1, 2026
For students entering the field of nursing. Applicants must be:
A child, grandchild or great-grandchild of a Veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.
A resident of New Jersey for 2 years immediately prior to applying for the scholarship
A member of the graduating class of 2026.
American Legion Claire Oliphant Memorial Grant - due April 1, 2026
$2,500 grant awarded in memory of Claire Oliphant, NJ's first Department President and National President. Applicants must be:
A child, grandchild or great-grandchild of a Veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.
A resident of New Jersey for 2 years immediately prior to applying for the scholarship
A member of the graduating class of 2026.
American Legion Elsie Bailey Memorial Grant - due April 1, 2026
$2,500 grant awarded in memory of Elsie Bailey, New Jersey's Department President and National President. Applicants must be a resident of New Jersey for 2 years immediately prior to applying for the scholarship and a member of the graduating class of 2026.
American Legion ALA Department of NJ Grant - due April 1, 2026
Applicants must be:
A child, grandchild or great-grandchild of a Veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.
A resident of New Jersey for 2 years immediately prior to applying for the scholarship
A member of the graduating class of 2026.
Energizing Young Voters - Schmiedel Family Foundation Scholarship - due May 1, 2026
The ideal applicant should be a high school senior passionate about the importance of taking part in our democracy. They should be engaged in community and academic efforts to advocate the importance of voting to their generation as well as to friends and families of all generations.
This year there will be nine awards of $1500, with one exception. The exception is that if a group of students chooses to present the module called “Voting Simulation,” winners will be awarded a $5000 scholarship to share.
Detox.com College Scholarship - due July 31, 2026
Applications are currently open for the Fall 2026 awards, up to $2,500. Applicants must be enrolled, or planning to attend, college during the Fall 2026 semester. The scholarship recipient will be selected and awarded on August 30, 2026.
