Mission

The mission of the World Language Department is to prepare students to communicate in a language other than English. The program develops the skills and awareness needed to understand and effectively to interact with people of other cultures in professional and personal settings. It also encourages the appreciation of cultural diversity.Long Term Goals

• To increase awareness of self and others.

• To enable students to more easily take a place in the global community and the global marketplace.

• To utilize their skills in technology to increase their knowledge of the language and culture.

• To encourage each student to attain sufficient skills to use the world language as an effective research/career tool.
