Teacher of the Year - Marco Infante

Marco Infante is a dedicated educator holding a master’s degree in educational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Montclair State University. He began his career 11 years ago and has been employed by the Fair Lawn Public Schools district ever since. His current coursework includes Precalculus Honors, AP Statistics, and Honors Statistics. Marco’s educational background serves as the foundation for fostering cross-curricular connections among students in his classes, enriching their learning experiences. Marco’s energized personality and candor promotes student success by encouraging them to build on their strengths, appreciate their challenges, and get excited about their learning. These experiences help him empower students to be lifelong learners at an early age.  With nearly a decade of experience as the assistant student activities coordinator at FLHS, Marco has been instrumental in nurturing student leadership. He actively participates in various student and staff committees and continues to advocate for the student activities program through mentorship and chaperoning roles.

Educational Specialist of the Year - Jennifer Lubonski

Jennifer Lubonski has dedicated her professional life to the education of students and staff in Fair Lawn.  After graduating from Vassar College with a degree in mathematics and psychology, Jen began working as a math teacher at FLHS in the fall of 2005.  Though she taught a variety of courses during her 15 years in the department, she was known for being the lead teacher in Algebra 1.  Beyond the classroom, Jen was the assistant coordinator of student activities, the student government advisor, the assistant cross country coach and the distance coach for spring track and field.

Holding masters' degrees in both Education Leadership and Educational Technology, it was a natural transition to become the FLHS Instructional Tech Coach when the position opened in June 2020.  In this role, Jen works along-side a team of technicians, offering classroom perspective on tech procedures and concerns.  She also works closely with teachers finding technology solutions for the classrooms as well as leading group and individual trainings.  She continues to interact with students on a daily basis in a variety of ways, most notably through the Student Tech Squad, the Digital Portfolio Project and her tech info-graphic Two O’Clock Tech.  For almost 20 years, Jen has brought vision, passion, and a smile to our building.
